Laura Renger kicks off EVSE training for nation’s weights and measures inspectors

This week CalETC Executive Director Laura Renger kicked off the EVSE Training Conference in Garden Grove, helping train the people who make sure the system actually delivers: weights and measures inspectors from across the country.

“These are the unsung heroes of the EV transition,” she said. “Inspectors are the ones making sure the chargers actually work, delivering accurate metering, transparent pricing, and reliable service.”

“With California needing more than 2 million EV charging stations by 2035, we need chargers that deliver what they promise. And we especially need that in multi-family housing and underserved communities where access is already harder to come by.”

Huge thanks to the California Department of Food and Agriculture Division of Measurement Standards and the National Council on Weights and Measures for putting this together. The zero-emission transition runs on they do every day.
